Where should I stay in Honolulu or waikiki with 2 x toddlers?
Hi! We are from Melbourne, Australia and are hoping to go to Hawaii with our family and the grandparents in March 2013. Just wondering where you would recomend we stay please? Is Honolulu or waikiki better? We would like to be in amounst it all, not toooo expensive, but still in a nice place with a great pool. I thought a condo might be a good idea? or would it be better to get two rooms in a resort please? i had a look at renting a condo on the Internet, but so far it seems everywhere is booked out months/years in advance! Thanks so much for any advice you can give us!

Waikiki Beach is in Honolulu. Not sure what you are asking. Hilton Hawaiian Village is a good place to go with kids. I wouldn't say that many of the hotels on Waikiki Beach have "great" pools. Maybe try the Sheraton Waikiki also. I have never stayed in a condo so can't help you out there.

Another vote for Hilton Hawaiian Village... pools, beach access, activities, they even have penguins the kids love... they offer daycare if you need adult time, and the resort is away from the crowds, yet close enough...
we had a suite in Alihi tower with plenty of room and an eating area that may come in handy for the family... good luck

The Hilton Hawaiian Village redid their pool area fairly recently and is probably the best bet for a hotel with a decent pool in Waikiki.
There are several pools with slides. There is also the lagoon, which is a beach type area with calm water. Go to their site for pictures: http://www.hiltonhawaiianvillage.com/beach_and_pools/
