Do NOT try to get them on Craigs List. A woman was just arrested for selling fake ones.

Disneyland had discount passes for So. Cal. residents -- up until this year. So you can't get them there.

Try the universities. I know UCLA's ticket office next to Pauley Pavilion sells discount tickets to the "UCLA Community" (read: anyone who goes to the box office). I'm sure other colleges in L.A. also sell them.

Or Costco.

Priceline has discounted tickets. So does Hotwire.

Disney is famous for little-to-no discount ever being offered for their one-day tickets.

For Universal, this deal ends at the end of the month:

Forget any idea of getting a discount for Disneyland. Pay the regular price - and if that is too much for your budget, do something else.

Get the Park Hopper if you are only going for one day. We go about every other year and can spend three days with Park Hoppers. Going to Orlando in June and not going to Disney World.

For Disneyland, the way you save money is to go to a less expensive hotel. We have had good luck with the Howard Johnson across the street from the park.

Bring your lunch in a backpack. You save money and you won't waste your time standing in a lunch line for overpriced fried food. Buy a snack or ice cream mid afternoon with no lines and far less cost.

I went recently and the hotel I was staying at had discounted tickets available.

You might check before you arrive if that's feasible.

Do not go on a weekend.

mcheryl is right, AAA has PARK HOPPER ONLY single-day tickets discounted from $125 to $121 per adult.

(Wow, is one day at Disneyland really $125 per person these days? Last I'd checked it was in the $89 neighborhood.)

Thanks You all. You guys are awesome! Now I m looking at south California pass at costo . This covers 4 attractions. Three passes for my family cost me approx 810$. Less than sum of single entree tickets. Once again many thanks to every one.

<Not all the food at Disney is fried.>

Agreed. It does require reading ahead and planning to find the better food in the park, and you may need to trek across the park and then wait in a line too. And it will not be cheap.
