We are planning a trip to this area and are not necessarily locked into a specific time of year. We could go in late November or sometime next spring. We know that we want to avoid Hilton Head during the summer months. When would you go? Is it likely to be rainy and cool in late November or fine for sightseeing and walking on the beach? When would you recommend going?

If I could really predict conditions I'd be a kabillionaire! It's usually nice, but you could have days that are gray and chilly. There's always the possibility of rain-it's the coast. The wind off the water can be biting at times. Check weather underground for weather history.
I love it that time off year. The heat is gone, the humidity is too and the beaches can be stunning. The water will be too cold to swim, for locals anyway.
