When is the best time to book a flight?
We have to fly to Florida at the end of Oct. We usually book our flights on line, but am wondering if we should book now or wait until a possible sale comes up? Does anyone know if the prices tend to drop at any particular time?
Just curious if anyone has any advice?

You could start by checking what Fodor's Travel Tips has to say about this: http://www.fodors.com/features/nfdisplay1.cfm?name=stt/010425_stt_cheapplane
Next, I wouldn't hang fire re:buying tix. No fares are going to come down very much, and a lot of airlines are downsizing and tinkering with their schedules. Do a search on Orbitz or T'city or whomever, see what the range of fares is, and if you find a good one for a flight you'd find acceptable, JUMP.

I actually had this dilemma about a month ago as I am going to florida at the end of december. Buy as soon as possible, unless the fares are outrageous. Depending on where ur leaving from, (for me, sjc to mco was 199 on aa) somewhere between 100-250 would be reasonable. Check orbitz.

You didn't mention where you are flying from, but check with Jet Blue www.jetblue.com It is the best airline I think I have ever flown. The planes are large and comfortable and each seat has a TV. No food on the flight, so bring sandwiches.
Good luck and have a great time.
