When is hurricane season in Hawaii?

Aloha,
Have just found great rates on all airlines from Atlanta to Honolulu.....$495.60-$550.00 rt!! Is this too good to be true?
When is hurricane season?
BTW, yesterday afternoon I had visions of Kauai because in about 40 minutes, I saw 5 rainbows. Talk about beautiful! One of the rainbows was a double...have never seen this in my life.
...
Margo, you are slipping on the countdown!!..

I think Iwa was in Nov and Nina was in Nov Dec soooo. I think one hit the islands in July?

Margot is busy counting her "winnings" before they come to "Fruit-ition".:-"

We're around 193 depending on any airfare deals our TA can find us.

Hang loose!

So Happy It's Thursday!

A search of this site reveals that Hawaii's Hurricane Season is June to Sept. I can confirm the great roundtrip rates from NYC to HNL ~$600, and on at least 2 major airlines, on one day one flight came up as $555. Mahalo and good Hunting! $-)

According to Hawaii Magazine (July/August 2003)only 2 hurricanes have hit since 1959 (Dot): Iniki on 9-11-92 (We were on Maui trying to get to Kauai-we didn't), and, Iwa on November 23, 1982.

Hey hmmmm, my sister was also on Maui when Iniki hit. They didn't really have a good time. #39;( Took them 10 1/2 years to go back.

I'd never let the hurricane season thing bother me. 4 of the 6 times I've gone there have been during hurricane season. We had great weather. I did not go to Hawaii in 1982 or 1992. But did go in 1981 and 1983. Guess I just missed Iwa!!!

It's like tornados - spring and fall. You never can tell though. Been here 10 years and haven't had a BAD storm yet.

they are called "emoticons" and I suspect they are part of a larger conspiracy to tie up cyberspace.

Ban emoticons from cyberspace !! they are a more serious threat to the world than SARS and global warming !!!

Can you guys please tell me how to find those emoticons? I got one on one of my messages by accident by typing a smile, but I don't know how to find the other ones.
