My husband and I are celebrating our anniversary in Tucson at the end of February. Which hotel is your favorite special occasion place to stay? Loews Ventana; The Lodge at Ventana Canyon; Arizona Inn or the Marriott Starr Pass Resort? Thank you!

Of the ones you mentioned I like either of the Ventana locations. Both are close to the Catalina's and the Arizona Inn ( more mid-town) has a wonderful (authenic) southwest ambience. Also have a look at Hacienda del Sol it's one of my favorites with probably the best restaurant of all the places mentioned.
I like the Arizona Inn best of those choices just because it's more uniquely Tucson. The Marriott Starr Pass is in a gorgeous location with great walking trails if you're looking for that (the Ventana is also beautifully situated).
Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. Whenever we are in town for our anniversary, we stay there.
No contest - Arizona Inn. Refined, low-key elegance.
I've stayed at the Arizona Inn, Ventana Canyon and Hacienda del Sol, and my favorite is the Hacienda del Sol. Just the right blend of Southwest plus comfort and charm. And if you can't stay there, you should at least eat there. The restaurant is wonderful.
