What's your favorite "after theatre" place to eat in NYC??

We willl be seeing a couple shows on Broadway in April. We like to have drinks and an app before the theatre (any tips on that would be great, too) but save dinner for after the show. Do you have any favorite spots in the general area of the Theatre District/Times Square/South Central Park?
We will be dressed nicely and price range would be around $75 or less per person (inc drinks). Thanks!.

Id never recommend Sardi's for dinner but it's great for pre theatre cocktails at the upstairs bar. Everyone's theatre oriented and very friendly. They put out great horseradish cheese spread with crackers or you can order appetizers.

For dinner, Joe Allen remains a favorite for after theatre (among actors as well as audience). You can only reserve 1 week in advance, but you need to. Tell them what show you're seeing and they'll know the time to make it.

Bookmarking, though usually don't like to eat that late. However, trust everything Broadway related that Patrick posts

For me it is Trattoria dell' Arte hands down. It is several blocks north of the theater district at 900 7th ave just north of 57th st. You may even see some celebrities there. It fits your budget if you do not drink too much or order an expensive wine.

The scenery is great at Lilies on 49th St but all seats are bar stools even at tables. Fine for drinks and apps. For great food I'd go to E&E's Grillhouse.

Aldo Sohm Wine Bar would be good for a light dinner. Aldo Sohm is a well-known sommelier so you know the wines will be good. Upscale crowd; same owners as Le Bernardin, one of NY's best restaurants.

Although we'd only have dessert after an 8PM show,in that area, for dinner we've enjoyed Pongsri Thai, Basera, China Green, El Centro, and Kashkaval Garden.
