Whats up with the $7.00 coke drinks in NYC, and need info on Cinnamon Sticks??

Jump to last reply

Okay I know its New York, but $7.00 for a coke soda?? My girlfriend and I were hanging out in West Harlem and after a few martinis and whiskey sours, we stopped at our last bar (Showmans Lounge, nice small intimate bar near Lenox Lounge), and when we asked for a coke soda, we were told $7 bucks! Ouch! The barmaid said that since there was no cover charge for the entertainment, the cost of the drinks rise. Sure enough, when we got back to 42nd street, we stopped at a local bar and was told $6.50 for a coke! WOW. We just went for the drink @ $7.50....

Now about the Cinnamon sticks!!! They were absolutely delicious and I was wondering where else can you purchase them other than times square?? We got them at a cafe on the corner in the theater district..I definitely would like to bring some home on my next visit to NYC.

Thanks

P.S. despite the $7.00 coke, NYC is a great city, I am fastly become addicted!!!
