What's thebest place to stay in Yellowstone
We have several days to tour the Teton and Yellowstone Parks. Staying in Jackson, Wy. looks good for exploring the Tetons. Any suggestions on Yellowstone...something centrally located maybe? We would also welcome any input on whether it is worth exploring to the east of Yellowstone in the Little Bighorn area. Thanks,G.

When are you planning to go to Yellowstone? If it is yet this summer, reservations may be hard to come by.
When we've been in the park, we've liked the canyon area. We usually stay in one of the cabins.

Geezer, you didn't mention budget, etc, so thees suggestions may not interest you. The Lake Yellowstone Hotel is very nice and the food there is quite good. On our last trip we stayed at the Old Faithful Lodge and it is pretty spartan. Our favorite place to stay in the Tetons is Signal Mountain Lodge. I find this one of the most beautiful stimulating regions in this glorious country. Enjoy your visit, but get started on your bookings, the area fills up fast!

budget is pretty flexible. i like the idea of staying at a lodge in the park. i went to the park website and it looks like the lake yellowstone lodge has the most appeal. where is the signal mountain lodge?
