There is not much info on where to eat, what to see, etc.
We will be there next week-end for our 30th wedding anniversity. Besides staring dreamingly into the spouse's eyes, anything not to miss?
We will be staying at the CDA resort.
What's hot in Couer d'alene?

Thanks for your suggestions.
CDA resort was nicely situated overlooking the marina/boardwalk. The weather wasn't great, but it didn't rain.
Friday we drove from Seattle and checked in at 3:30pm.
It was a room on the 5th floor with a great view and a small balcony. One of the plastic chairs on the balcony was missing an arm rest (sheared off)and the seams of the wallpaper in the bathroom were parting from the wall.
We then took the bicycles west on the Centenial Trail to Post Falls.
Nice scenery.
We got back, walked around the town, ate at the Olympic Greek restaurant, not bad, went back to the resort and walked around the boardwalk and then sat in the lobby watching the High school seniors parade by with their prom dresses and tuxes.
Next day, after eating breakfast in the resort we drove over to Turner and Echo Bay, marvelled at the houses, then we backtracked and went to Mica bay ($8.00 fee for out of state) and went kayaking and looked at birds and the shoreline.
The wind picked up so we packed up the kayaks and went up to Sand Point, via Farragut State Park.
Sandpoint was small and quiet, sunny and windy, ate at the Panhandler Pie shop for lunch.
The drive up was rather tedious, after fighting the Franchise City part of 95. We got back to the resort, went to the lobby bar, got no service, went to the other bar, ordered two beers and watched the second batch of high school prom night parading through the lobby.
We thought we were in for a long night, hearing the carousing etc, but it was quiet. Well brought up kids!
We then went to Tubbs Hill and walked around on the trails, and it was a nice time in the evening, with the sunset. Ate at the only at the only Chinese restaurant in town. Should have known better!
Next morning, checked out, found $8.10 on the bill for the mini bar, got that taken off, ate at IHOP, got gas, cheap $3.39/gallon! and headed home.
Observations:
Winters must be rough for the merchants; the shopping plaza next door to the resort has for lease signs on many shops. The candy store was closed for good.
My wife's observations: The Resort should do more landscaping; junniper bushes abound. No flowers? Too early in the season? The flower boxes had just dirt in them.
The room needed some minor repair to the wallpaper.
$15 a night to park the car when they are charging $300 a night to park your body?
Where are the 30 to 50 years olds? We saw nothing but tattooed teenagers, and 20 somethings on the various trails.
I am sure it could be a very sweet life there if you have deep pockets. A house on the lake, with a speed boat to quickly get you to town for your errands.
We would probably go back, but rent a cabin on the lake in warm weather and enjoy the beauty of the area.
