what to wear to visit Grand Circle in September
My wife and I are planning to drive, from Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. At each place we will stay two nights.
We start on September 1 and come back to Las Vegas September 13, and go on to our home Japan.
Being age 63 and 65, we will not do mount climbings but will try some easy trekkings.
We will prepare for hot Las Vegas but wondering whether we should bring heavy winter clothings for Grand Circle's high altitude, for our travel days.
I would appreciate your comments.
Thank you.

I don't think you will need heavy winter clothes at all. I think you will find it cool to cold in the mornings and very pleasant to even hot in the afternoons. I would wear hiking pants that zip off into shorts. I would wear a hiking shirt or t-shirt. I would start off in the mornings with a light jacket or heavier long sleeve shirt over my t-shirt and shed it probably about 10:00am.

September will still be warm and you can expect thundershowers too. Las Vegas, Zion, Monument Valley and Lake Powell might even be hot! Bryce and the Grand Canyon are at higher elevations and will be the cooler spots.
Bring layers, a light jacket and maybe a rain slick. You can always purchase a sweatshirt or fleece tops as souvenirs at the park and wear them if it's cooler.
Not sure where you will be on Sept 3 - 5th, but expect huge crowds at the Grand Canyon, Zion or Lake Powell because it's our three Labor Day Weekend Holiday.
