We will stop in Mystic on the way to Newport for a few hours. It will be Sunday. We will have 2 11 year old kids. We are planning to see Seaport. Where we can park the car? Should we see old village? (is it the same as downtown?), should we drive to get to old village? Is there parking available?
Thanks for the recommendation.

There's very few parking at downtown Mystic. The Seaport's main parking is about a mile from downtown, so you can probably stroll down there; but the satellite parking are further away.
From the Mystic Seaport website, there's also a water taxi (fee required) from the seaport down to downtown.
