What to pack - in Key West next week!

I am going to be in Key West from 2/28 - 3/4 and have no idea what to pack? Some websites say its going to be cool and others say warm? My husband and I will most likely be bar hopping during the day, maybe take on a day sail and go out to eat - maybe go to Louie's for a night. Any suggestions on what to wear/pack? Thanks in advance! - Susan

PS - we went to Key West last year and noticed that it is very casual so I know not to get over dressed but still don't want to over pack.

T-shirts, shorts, and flip flops with maybe a hoodie to keep you warm at night.

My mom and dad are there now for the winter and that is what they live in.

Plan on 80 degree days and a little cooler at night.

Its cool now at night (60's) so plan on something to keep you warm if you get chilled easily. It is also cool on the water so you will probably want something a little warmer than a t-shirt and shorts for the day you are planning to go sailing. The average temps for that time period is mid to upper 70's and about 10 degrees cooler at night but it is not unusual to hit the lower 80's during the day.

My brother-in-law is in Key West now and it was 53 yesterday morning! Very unusual, but as others say, be sure and pack a sweater or something warm, especially if you're going for a sail. I have two heavy sweatshirts I've bought in Key West over the years that I've needed for sunset sails.

Even though Key West is VERY casual, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable at Louie's with a t-shirt and flip flops. I usually prefer nice shorts or pants.

Well, we froze our butts off there the last few days. but today was very warm and I think they are in a warm spell. Go to weather.com and get the 10 day for Key West.

I just checked the weather for next week and right now it shows upper 70s. I'll take that! It sure beats the winter here in northwest NJ! Thanks all, Susan

Wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt with a jacket and loafers and socks down just so you have these things in case.

Then three of everything used as outer wear; three pairs of shorts, three tanks, three T-shirts. Sandels or thongs, or whatever the chic footwear is this season.

Extras - a cap or visor, and an old throwaway T-shirt to use while snorkeling so that your back doesn't burn. A tote to put in several towels and a bathing suit for the snorkel trip. One sweatshirt or denim shirt for same and in case the weather turns cool.

Remember, you are going to the T-shirt capital of the world and Last Flight Out on Green has nice denim shirts to purchase as souvenirs.
