You will quickly find out that Westport is the night spot in KC. The River Key north of downtown is where you will find gentleman's clubs. The Plaza is filled with boutique shopping and good food. Across the street is the Nelson Art Gallery, more museum than gallery, you'll find all the masters here. On Sundays they occassionaly host a concert on the Nelson's front lawn.
Westport and the Plaza are probably the most active places for food, drink and fun. They are fairly close together so cab fare will be low.
There is a "new" Zoo which is touted to become one of the top in the nation.
