what should i pick for my hawaii gift?
i just received a valentines day gift of miles (first class) to hawaii!
if you have never been to hawaii, and now have 7 days....where would you go and stay?
we like first class accomodations and oceanfront only....are there any clothing optional or topless beaches ? we enjoy this but understand we may not be able to find it in hawaii. if oceanfront, we'd prefer a condo...don't know if that's possible?
we are struggling to decide even on what island given that we are first timers..
we enjoy sunbathing, good food, good service, and would like to try a little bit of sightseeing...
thoughts?
thanks in advance!

yikes!
i am shocked by the reaction to our message (doug is my boyfriend and recipient of my valentines day gift to hawaii)
this was a serious inquiry...ive used the fodor's forum many many times and have never experienced such a weird reaction!
i didn't even understand the "troll" comment...then i read more postings to this board...gosh, it's a shame that people are so nervous about the authenticity of requests for advice and the responses to same!
in any event...can anyone give us help deciding on priorities for 7 days on hawaii?
i think it would be best for those that wish to debate the forum registration rules, etc to comment elsewhere.
thanks!

doug and sandy,
it does appear rather strange that both of you use the same sentence structure, don't have a clue how to CAPITALIZE characters, throw exclamation points around willy-nilly and use the same fake address. by the way, how does one give miles?

On the off chance you are serious, there are topless beaches on every island, but you'd have to go to Rand McNally to find the book....or there might be another place on the Internet you can look, but judging from the responses you've been getting here, you won't find it on this forum.

OK, because I have an inherent belief that people are good and because, luckily, I'm still not cynical about when somebody asks a ? they're really looking for information. . .here's my 0.02 cents:
Maui is gorgeous. I stayed in Wailea and at a B/B near Paia. The beaches are sandy and beautiful although I didn't see any clothing optional ones (I wasn't looking though). Food: Joe's Bar and Grill was great, the General House, drinks were good at Mama's Fish House (on the beach). The drive to Hana was gorgeous. Enjoy your trip!

Well, I don't like to go around attacking every person that asks about Hawaii. Doug may be a troll and he may not so if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all.
To answer your questions...
I don't know about condos, but I would suggest Maui. You will get a little bit of everything there. There are no "Legal" nde beached in Hawaii. But there are some places that it is still done. Purchase this book. It is amazing and tells you just about anything that you need to know about Maui. http://www.wizardpub.com/Pages/Maui.html
Good luck!
