What month(s) would be considered the low season for Vegas?

Just curious. Is the summer an "off-season" time for Vegas?

Don't know if Vegas really has ann off-season anymore, but if there is one, it's summer -- when the temps hit 110+.

While it may be terribly hot in the summre in 'Vegas it has never appeared to be to be off season. There are thousands of people whenever you go, the weather does not seem to have as much to do with it as in other areas. Sure it's hot, but you are indoors or in the pool much of of the time anyway. Casinos are kept real cool!

The first two-weeks of December. People are busy with Christmas shopping/parties to go on vacation. Most everywhere in the U.S. has a lull at this time.

Depends on how you define 'off season'. In actuality, there are weekends (and weeks) scattered throughout the calendar when LV is packed to the gills...it's a huge convention town. So even during some midsummer weeks, room rates can be high, along with occupancies and pedestrian traffic.
More 'off weeks' occur during summer than at other times, and the time between Thanksgiving and Xmas is usually slower.
But the bottom line is that it depends on the convention calendar and whether other 'special events' (boxing, NASCAR, etc) are an issue. ANY week can be a total sellout in Vegas.

The two weeks just before christmas is
tradionaly the slowest time of the year. Plus, if your looking for low room rates this is the time also. However, be warned all the entertainers will take their vacations durring this time also. Most of the shows will be dark, this includes Sigried and Roy, "O", Mystere, ect. Don't worry the slot machines are still running durring this time. LOL.

In addition to the beginning of Dec, I think January is fairly cheap, also.

Christmas is the only time you will find Vegas in their off season. Ask the cab drivers. They say the week before and durring christmas. Otherwise Vegas is always rockin'. Just keep your eye out for a good deal. They are out there. The longer you can wait to book before you go is your best bet. We just arrived home from Vegas. We usually fly out on a Sunday or Monday to avoid the crowds on the weekends. If you can wait to book until 5 or 6 days before you leave you will find the best deals. Summer is not an off season. We were there last March and June. Payed just as much in June as we do any other month. We usually go in Jan or Feb. We just stayed at Treasure Island for 4 nites for $284.00 pp dbl. occ incl. airfare. !! Keep watching ! If you need any other advice on teaveling Vegas e-mail me. I'm always watching for deals to Vegas!
