Fly to Denver, Salt Lake City or Las Vegas and drive to Moab. Or take a connecting flight...it really depends on your budget, whether you are willing to drive that far and how much time the connecting flight adds to your travel time vs. driving.

There is a small airport in Moab, but the drive from Grand Junction isn't too bad.
We usually fly to either Albuquerque, Denver or Vegas depending on airfare and rental car costs and make the drive part of the trip. It is a long drive from both. If you click my name there are a couple of TRs to the area to give you and idea.

We flew into Durango a few years ago and then did a terrific circuit for a 10-day trip: Durango to Moab, then Moab down to Four Corners and the amazing/surprising Aztec Ruins National Monument in Farmington NM, then on to Santa Fe and Taos, then back to Durango.

For the drive from Grand Junction, a short time after you enter Utah, exit from I-70 onto UT 128 and follow it to Moab. It goes along the Colorado river and the scenery along the way is spectacular. You could even stop in at Fisher Towers on your way into Moab.
