I would like to invest in a condo or townhouse in Delware along the coast in between Fenwick Island and Rehobeth Beach. Upscale is a plus. Ocean or Bayview. Would like to rent it out when we aren't there. I live in Maryland so Delaware is close but I do not want a place in Ocean City. Looking for a more laid back place with good restaurants and good shopping nearby. What's the best town? Dewey, Lewes, Bethany, Rehobeth?

My brother lives in Washington and spends the summer around the Delaware near the ocean. He bought a condo in South Bethany after doing a lot of investigating. He rented in the various places around there each summer to get a feel of the area. He felt Lewes had too many college students. Rehobeth was too crowded. He wanted more of a quiet family setting. He liked Bethany but ended up buying his property in South Bethany and has not been sorry. Neither have I regreted his purchase since I spend 1 week visited him there every year and just have a wonderful time each year!
