My husband and I will be in Newport the 2nd week of November and we would really appreciate some recommendations for the best restaurants, especially seafood. We are from Montana and look forward to having some really great seafood while we are there!!!

Hi Melissa,
Hands down and thumbs up to "WHITE HORSE TAVERN"!!!!
I thought THE MORRING was an excellant seafood restaurant. They have their own website at www.mooringrestaurant.com). Also the Black Pearl was quite good.
The best combination of food, service and location has to be the Castle Hill Inn. If you do go, pick a time that still has some daylight because the views from here are gorgeous. Other notable restaurants include Black Pearl,White Horse Tavern, the Sea Fare Inn in Portsmouth.
Come to my side of the bay for other great restaurants........Sunday Brunch at the Bay Voyage in Jamestown, dinner at the Post Office Cafe in East Greenwich, the Capital Grille or Cafe Nuovo in Providence,
Good Luck!!
Hi Melissa,
I am from Newport, and yes all the above restaurants are great. But if you would like something off the beaten path and away from all the other tourists I would recommend Tucker's on Broadway. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is romantic. Tucker will take great care of you!
Another great Newport secret is Pezulli's on Thames Street. The fare is authentic Italian. It does not have a liquor licence but you can BYOB.
Enjoy your trip to Newport!
Hi Melissa,
Sorry, I just noticed you requested information on SEAFOOD restaurants in Newport. I would also recommend the MOORINGS. It is on the water right in the heart of it all. Great food.
