What are you doing in the Bay Area this Memorial weekend?

I want to know what everyone locally is doing this weekend? Rather than driving far I thought it would be fun to just check out our local scene, but looking for suggestions. Thx

kdm, there's the Carnaval festival and parade in the Mission District Sat and Sun . I've never been but seems like fun. Sun is the parade and Los Lonely Boys will be playing. www.carnavalsf.com

KDM, I have a website for you to check for local activities, you can pick any area: the city, east bay, Marin, etc...

http://www.sfgate.com/

click on entertainment on the left side, go to events, you can sort them by date, location, name...

Tomorrow I'll be listening to the Klezmatics in the Yerba Buena, Sunday off to Vegas!

Just found out from a co-worker that there will be Opera in the Park at Dolores Park on Sunday. Generally, these performances are not full-length features, but "greatest hits" programs. If the weather's sunny, this could be very popular. I hope the singers know how to dodge Frisbees. There will be a long line at the Bi-Rite Creamery down the street for certain.

EAT!

Have meals planned at four restaurants already and the planning is still going on!

Eat! Eat!

easytraveler that is why I posted because everything I think of doing surrounds eating which will require extra workouts next week. FainaAgain make sure to leave some money for me, I'll be stopping in Las Vegas next month. Thank you everyone and enjoy the holiday.

Marteen is going to cook it and I am going to eat it! Actually, while M cooks, I will be in the garage organizing our junk for the city wide garage sale next weekend. Whoopee!

Kdm - It's a little outside the Bay Area, but you're welcome to take my place at a family get together tomorrow!

Seriously, the Dixieland Jubilee is taking place in Sacramento this whole weekend - just a couple hours away.

Drove over to Half Moon Bay today then up to Pacfica for Lunch at Nicks a 80 year institution on Rockaway Beach. Broiled Sturgeon & Linda a Avocado & Crab dish both with Clam Chowder. Fantastic! Lovely Saturday.

OK you have to enjoy some of the weekend - I decided to play tourist yesterday. Yesterday we went to the Epicurious Garden in North Berkeley. They have a little chocolate shop, gelato, wine tasting: http://www.epicuriousgarden.com/ Next, ended up in the opposite direction down to Santa Row. There were so many people sitting outside the cafes talking, eating, drinking, weather was great.....What to do today?? Maybe I can get my husband to go hiking with me near the Cliff House.

DD and I are heading up to the Oakland/ Berkeley area to visit my mom on Monday. We may find other things to do up there too. Not doing too much here in San Jose, though had a nice breakfast at the Los Gatos Cafe this morning. We head out up towards Portland on this week, so I need to pack soon!
