Westhester/Bronx/Yonkers area event planning

Anyone have any ideas of affordable event locations to celebrate a landmark birthday luncheon . We are hoping to stay about $40 p/p inclusive so the birthday girl can have flexibility in her guest list without breaking our bank. 50 -75 guests. We had looked at a place on City Island, but their menu prices double when hosting an event - Chicken parm was $20 would now be $40 before a beverage.

Any great places that new yorkers have hosted an event at affordable prices. We can't afford a NY wedding budget.

The guest of honor resides in Bronxville.

Thanks for any thoughts.

I'm not sure about events pricing, but a three course lunch at X2O in Yonkers is $27. It is located on the Hudson with views of the river and the NJ Palisades. A lovely setting, handsome building, and fine food.

Thanks for fresh ideas. I had thought about xaviars but think their events are triple that price. I will revisit and make an inquiry. I will explore the other two suggestions as well. It would be a winter saturday luncheon, so hoping to find a place that will accommodate a run a tab open bar instead of a flat fee p/p, as most guests are not big drinkers. Or don't drink at all.

Great help!

k_marie, we do love the room and location at X20. I don't see any prices on their website so perhaps to might be workable. I'll call them to see what the price of admission is. I think I was thinking of New Leaf by the Cloisters that has a huge event tariff.

Would an Italian restaurant in the Arthur Avenue area work for you? That's what I would do.

What about Frankie & Johnnie's on Bronxdale Ave. in the Bronx? Haven't been there in years (used to be The Pine), but food was good and reasonable.

Thank you for asking. The guest of honor has chosen to have a more intimate gathering of maybe 20 guests, so the options are now endless. I appreciate all the great ideas.

Ah, with a smaller guest list you will have plenty of possibilities!
