West Virginia Trip

I am planning a trip to west virginia this summer for 8 days. I plan on spending 4 days in Fayetteville and 4 days and Cannan. At fayetteville, I plan on seeing different areas of the new river gorge, babcock sp,and hawks nest state park and doing some hiking and maybe the jetboat ride at Hawks Nest. Then, after 4 days there I plan on driving to Cannan. I plan on taking the Highland Scenic Byway and taking a couple short hikes along the way like Cranberry Bogs and Falls of Hill Creek. At Cannan, I plan to see Blackwater Falls and doing some hiking in that state park, hiking Seneca Rocks, hiking Nelson Rocks, maybe Dolly Sods and Spruce Knob. Does this sound good? Is there anything I am leaving out? I live in the Washington DC Area. What is the best route to Fayetteville. My options are either I-70 to I-68 to I-79 in Morgantown to US 19 to Fayetteville or I-66 to I-81 to I-64 to US 60 to US 19 to Fayetteville or I-64 to US 19 north from Beckley to Fayetteville. Which is the most scenic way of these two? Is there much difference in the drive times between the two? From Fayetteville, I plan to go north on US 19 to Summersville to Route 39 through Richwood to Route 150 (The Highland Scenic Byway) to US 219 North to US 33 East in Elkins and North on Route 32 to Cannan. Is there any detours I should take to see other stuff along this section other than what I am already doing? I don't have time to take the train ride in Cass. From Cannan, I plan on taking Route 32 to Route 93 to Route 42 North to US 50 east to US 340 and home. Is this a scenic route? From my house to Fayetteville, I am trying to take the fastest route. But, from Fayetteville to Cannan and Cannan to home, I am trying to take scenic routes.
