Looks like peak leaf peeping time for the Canaan area will be the weekend of Oct. 3-5.
The trees are gorgeous now but not yet at peak. Peak time may not come till the weekend following Oct 3-5 but as much as they have changed the last week, I think there is a good chance they will be on the downswing by then.

Interesting how different that is around different parts of the state. Up here in the Eastern Panhandle near Harpers Ferry and Shepherdstown, the leaves haven't even really started to change yet. Hopefully we've had enough rain this year to have a good show in late October.
Can anyone weigh in on leaves for Canaan for Fall 2009?
