There is A LOT to do in St. Louis with kids. The zoo is world class and a must! It might be a little hot in August however so give yourselves lots of time to see it so you can take breaks. The Magic House (I think it is in the suburb of Kirkwood) is a lot of fun and well done. It's a hands on childrens science center. My kids loved it. The Gateway Arch is always a big draw. It is unique but wouldn't take a lot of time to see unless you ride up in it. (Not me) It's right on the Mississippi river front which is kind of neat. Union Station is something to see. There is a mall attached to it that has a lot of shopping. The Science Center is also high class and would be of interest to both kids and parents. There is a botanical garden that is beautiful but might not be as exciting to the kids. Like I said St. Louis is a great vacation place. Have fun!
