WEATHER IN PALM SPRINGS NEXT WEEK

We are coming to Palm Springs this Wednesday through Saturday - coming from cold Wisconsin. I just looked up the weather and it says 98 to 102! Of course, that's why golf is cheaper in the afternoon, I'm sure. But, dumb question here......how bad is 98 to 102, really? We're talking different humidity, unlike it get here, I read. I grew up in Virginia, with humidity, but I'm older now (53) :)

Is it really god awful to golf in the afternoon, unbearably so, or is it just hot?
We're staying at Embassy Suties, La Quinta and want to golf one of the PGA courses, PGA West, La Quinta Mountain, Indian Wells, then a couple of regulars!

Leaving Wednesday morning; can't wait!

A couple of good places to eat, perhaps local, (not $$$$), but not necessarily cheap either. And we're not big Mexican dish eaters, etiher.....would really be appreciated.
