Waterfalls and Swimming Holes - Vermont Adventures near Stowe
This week, my friend invited me up to visit her Stowe, Vermont. We enjoyed hiking in Smugglers Notch, shopping and dining in Stowe, and enjoying the nature of Vermont!
The highlight of our trip was finding multiple waterfalls and swimming holes in the beautiful Vermont mountains. I blogged my favorites at: http://thefreelanceadventurer.blogsp...s-vermont.html
They were:
- Bingham Falls in Smugglers Notch - these beautiful falls and pool is accesed by hiking down hill a half mile from the trailead.
- Bolton Potholes in Bolton/Waterbury - these hidden swimming holes are a GREAT spot for swimming and jumping into perfect circles of water. The falls and brooks is gorgeous as well.
- Moss Glen Falls in Stowe - This is an impressive and large waterfall accessed on a quarter mile hike from the marked trailhead.
Directions to the trailheads are on my blog here: http://thefreelanceadventurer.blogspot.com/ on the August 18 post.
I hope to go back to Vermont soon and see even more. I welcome comments and questions!
