Washington Lavender Bloom

Has anyone visited the Washington valley where there are several lavender farms? I understand they have a "festival" in July, but lodging in the valley is limited. How did you like the visit? Any B&B or small motel recommendations?

Thanks!

Thanks Charlios!

Would you say 2 nights and one day would be enough for a visit? From there, we are planning to go on to Vancouver and Victoria.

Hi Dayle,

We also spent a few days in Sequim and would recommend it. Two nights and one day would be enough to enjoy the town and the lavendar farms. We enjoyed "pick your own" lavendar farms - big beautiful long stemmed bunches for $5 to 10. Even if you can't time it with the festival, it's worth a stop.

My inlaws lived in Sequim and got to know several of the lavender farms quite well. Their favorite (mine too) is Purple Haze Lavender (www.purplehazelavender.com). Nice photo tour on their web site. The Sequim area is a beautiful part of WA state (lovely climate). For more info on the lavender festival and the farms, go to www.lavendergrowers.org
