Washington and Oregon- Help me pick a spot to stay

I have our Seattle to San Francisco road trip mostly booked but need two nights somewhere between Seattle and Redwood National Forest. I'd like to have two different spots- maybe one in Oregon, one in Washington, but would do two nights in the same place. Where would you suggest???

Thanks

Where in the redwood area are you staying (there's lots to see and do between Crescent City and Trinidad, for example)? And do you want to stick to the coast (my personal preference) or do you want to see some of the inland sights like Mt St. Helens, Columbia Gorge, and/or Crater Lake? What else will you bee seeing in the Seattle area before you leave here (or are you also from here)?

Oh, and are you a family? A couple? What type of places do you like to stay in and what's your lodging budget?

It's just my husband and I. We prefer to stay on the coast, but would go inland for something amazing! We'd like to stay somewhere moderately priced ($150 and under).

Ok. I responded to your other post--probably easiest to stick to that one.
