We won the Warwick New York on Priceline for $157 for a one night( pre cruise) stay at the end of July 2010. The last posting that I could find here about the hotel was in 2006. I read the trip advisor reviews but always like to check here too. It looks like a great location across from the New York Hilton.
Does anyone on the board have any info on it or has anyone actually stayed there recently? McLaurie... anyone...Thanks in advance!

Big Island HAWAII: My 1st Swim with honu; Mauna Kea: Panic at 13,000 ft

Stayed there last year for 2 nights. Really lovely
old-world European style hotel. Well appointed rooms
w/a closet holding a safe and umbrellas for use. Free
(2) computers in room off lobby.
Housekeeping when dialed will send up the coffeemaker
upon request. One block away is Benoit, French resto
that is quite charming.
Price you won is a good one for this hotel. And perfectly
safe to walk around late at night as I did returning from
the theatre.
Enjoy your stay & happy cruising.
I stayed there this past december and I concur with everything Rhea58 said. Best is the location, and walking back to the theatre at 10:30 at night is not late in NYC.
Thank you for your responses. I looked at their website and it looks like it's a very charming place with a lot of history.
We've stayed across the street at the Hilton in the past but it's fun to get new hotels on Priceline that we haven't tried before. I wish we would be able to try Benoit. Thanks for the recommendation. I think we'll be arriving very late and will be leaving in the morning.
This is our first cruise and it will probably be the only one since we usually like to travel by ourselves. I am looking forward to spending the time with my husband and my parents but I'm not looking forward to the crowds of people on a ship.
Great price. Great location. Cary Grant lived there for a while. How bad could it be?

Thanks for the link to the reviews and pics, McLaurie. I'll let you know if I can sense Cary Grant's presence. I read that the Beatles also stayed there back in the day.
