W Hotel - Honolulu

I'm joining my husband on a business trip and will be staying at the W for the event. I undertand its not on the beach or there is no pool. What is there to do? Is there a beach and pool at one of their other properties that guest can use?

I don't know what there is to do on the property, but if you get a chance, try to go to Pearl Harbor and try to sneak away with your husband to the North Shore.

it's a very short 5 minute or less walk to the beaches. it's near the aquarium and zoo. no pools but the beach is there.

It is on what is called the Gold Coast. This is still part of Waikiki, but it is at the end of Kapiolani Park.

As matnikstym says, it's only a few minutes to the beach. 100 yards.

It's also only a few blocks to the main part of Waikiki. You'll have no problems finding things to do.

Here is a map that will show most of the Waikiki hotels.

Although the map does not show the W Honolulu, it is near the Colony Surf and New Otani.

Here is another map. W Honolulu would be near the fountain. (At the STOP sign on the map). Diamond Head Lookout and Lighthouse are only a few blocks away.

Here is a thread that shows lots to do on Oahu.

It's not right on the beach, but very good, less crowded beaches are really really close. Basically across a parking lot. The area is a little quieter than Waikiki proper since it's right next to Kapiolani park, which is full of cool banyan trees and you can sometimes see hula dancers practicing at the band shell.
