Hi all,
My husband and I will be visiting Raleigh mid-December on the way to to Florida. We're going to see a hockey game while we're there and explore the area.
I'm finding the layout a little confusing.
-We'd really like to stay someplace convenient where we're able to walk to dining and attractions like museums. We're thinking about the Marriott City center
-We really wanted to stay at the Hyatt Place North. Is that at all within walking distance of downtown, or is it isolated?
-we have a hockey game at RBC. I'm assuming it's not walkable from downtown. Is there other transportation besides a cab? We'd rather not take the car, in case we have a couple of beers.
Thank you for any help!

Hyatt Place North is three miles from downtown. I would recommend the Marriott City Center downtown, and you will need a car to get to RBC Center ... or use a cab. What game are you attending?
It's the Dallas Stars. Only game we'll have the chance to see!
candygrrl, the night you attend the hockey game at the RBC, save room for one of their pork BBQ sandwiches ... excellent! In fact, I've never had any bad food there.
Have a good trip!
