Vintage & Monaco Hotel in Portaland & Seattle??

Looking for feedback on the Hotel Vintage in Portland and the Monaco in Seattle. Planning a trip for mid July and they seem to get good reviews. Anybody stay there recently? Would love to hear your comments.

I live here (Seattle) so have never stayed there myself, but Hotel Monaco is in a very good central location within downtown and seems to get good comments.

Don't know if this qualifies as "recent" to you but I stayed in the Seattle Monaco in 2012 and 13. Also the Portland Monaco in 2012 and the Vintage in 2013. I'd happily return to any of them. The Kimpton brand is first rate, IMO.

Join Kimptons free rewards program, Karma. Great perks. We've stayed at their Alexis in Seattle twice and love it and its location. There is also a Kimpton in Portland. Get free night stay pretty quickly, so I'd stay at Kimptons in both places.

I am a complete fan of Kimptons but their loyalty program isn't nearly as generous as it was prior to the change last year.

Stayed at the Seattle Monaco over Christmas. Same excellent service. The room was very pretty, but I like the lobby at the Portland Monaco better. I also stayed at the Mayflower Park and I liked that more than the Monaco, mostly because it had a great bar. Monaco only has a restaurant that closed fairly early. But I'm a night owl- if you're not, that would probably not be an issue.

Oliver's (the bar at Mayflower Park hotel) is fantastic. It's a classic. Even if you don't stay there, stop by for a drink.
