Vermont & New Hampshire from Lincolnville area for 3 nights.
Leaving Linconville / Camden area June 6 and flying home from Boston June 9th(4pm). Any suggested routes / places to stay in Vermont & New hampshire with our final night 1 or 2 hours from airport. What is best route to cut across instead of driving down 1 again. We like sightseeing, hiking, relaxing, covered bridges and nature.

In New Hampshire take a look at www.bayside-inn.com Mt. Major nearby is a nice moderate hike with a great payoff. King Birch Motor Lodge and Belknap Point Motel are also nearby.
Saturday traffic should be easy to manage...you could probably make it down to Logan in about 2.5 hours by hooking up with 93 South...or take a more leisurely scenic 3.5 hour route down route 11 to 125 to 495/93S

Should be better weather this weekend but recent news is that hikers are running into trouble not being equipped for cold weather. Due to all the rain, would check trail conditions first.
Alton Bay looks like a nice recommendation. On the other side of the lake, it's a nice drive from Meredith up to Center Sandwich. You can take a route that includes a visit to Squam Lakes Science Center in Holderness. We haven't been to the science center is a long time but we like Center Sandwich in all seasons. Check out Sandwich Creamery's website.
If bad weather continues, Concord isn't that far from Alton. The independent Red River Theater usually has interesting films. If weather is good, the Merrimack River is high right now but you can rent a kayak for a 1/2 day or full day paddle with shuttle service

You need to be at Logan 2 hours ahead of your flight. The security lines are long.

Security lines are long at Logan, but are at their shortest on Saturday late afternoon. It's as close as the major airports get to "quiet time". Car return is quick and just a few minutes shuttle ride across the lots.
Visit Wolfeboro across the lake if you end up in Alton NH for a couple of nights.
