Vermont
Hi, my husband and I are going from Boston to Toronto at the end of April, we have two days to stay in the Manchester or Vermont area though not sure whether to spend a night in Manchester, then one in say Stowe or just the two nights in one place, does anyone have any suggestions? I will be 5 months pregnant so a little sightseeing, eating out etc. will be good though hiking will be out for this trip. Thanks

You have chosen two places at the opposite ends of the state. Both have a lot to offer but with only two nights, choose one spot. Will you be returning to Boston!
. If so, then Stowe works better as the interstate is nearby that goes toward Boston. Manchester is not near any interstate highways, rather Rt.7, two lanes.

I would stay two nights in Manchester and spend the day visiting near-by areas. On the way from Boston to Manchester, go via Brattleboro and then wend your way through Newfane, Townshend, Grafton, Weston, Jamaica (you may have to limit your choice depending on time) to Manchester. If spending only one night in Manchester, do the same for northern Vermont Quecchee, Woodstock, etc. on your way to Stowe. Grafton produces an excellent cheddar--look for its 5 year old version.
