Just booked 2 nights at The Venetian - a standard room and can get a comparable price with Caesar's Palace Tower room. Has anyone stayed at both to compare? Not really interested in the service as we will only be there for 2 days - mostly just the extravagence of the room and bathroom.

I believe a Caeasar tower room is still just a room, correct? The Venetian has a separate living room area that is very nice to be able to come back to room and "vegetate" for awhile....sit with your feet up, etc. The bathrooms at Venetian are very nice, IMO, altho would be nicer if they had jacuzzis.
Do you mean you booked a room in the Palace Tower at Caesar's? If so, while it is technically just a room, it is a very large room - with a sitting area (couch, coffee table, club chair). And the marble bathroom is very large and very nice with double sinks and a jacuzzi.
I have stayed at both - I would give the edge to the Venetian, unless you think you would use the jacuzzi (which is nice after a long day of gambling).
Also, if you can get a room at the new Augustus Tower, I would choose that over the Venetian.
