Vegas-GC-Page-Bryce-Zion-Vegas

Me and my boyfriend are flying into vegas on the 15th June and planning to drive to GC (South Rim) and stay at a hotel near lake powell that night. 16th & 17th to explore antelope and horsebend/ lake powell rainbow bridge. Leaving Page on the 18th to Bryce for a day and stay in Zion at night. 19th to explore Zion ( any suggestion?) and stay for another night there. Then drive back to Vegas on the 20th.

To Summarize the itinerary
15th From SF flying to Vegas, then drive from vegas to GC south rim, then drive to Lake powell.
16th-17th Lake powell+ antelope canyon
18th Lake Powell to Bryce Canyon and stay in Zion at night.
19th Zion
20th Zion - Vegas

I wonder if this itinerary is plausible? Should I stay longer in any of these places? Any adjustment to make it better? Thanks!

That's a lot of driving the first day after a flight into Vegas. I would suggest spending the night at GC instead, and then get up and see the sunrise before driving on to Page that morning. You can do Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend easily in a half day. We did a trip like this last May, and did exactly this (sunrise in GC, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend) and we had checked into our hotel by 2:30 or 3pm. You should plan to do the Antelope Canyon tour around lunchtime because that's when you will be able to see the shafts of light coming through. Skip the Rainbow Bridge Boat Tour, and head on to Bryce that afternoon/evening.

You'll want to see sunrise at Bryce also the next morning, and hike the Navajo Loop/Queen's Garden trail in the morning. Also check out the other scenic views along the road in the park. Bryce is beautiful and very unique, so don't rush through it. Then head onto Zion that afternoon/evening.

On your way into Zion, do Canyon Overlook trail because it's near the eastern entrance. The next day, I would do the Narrows, Observation Point, or Angel's Landing and a shorter trail such as Hidden Canyon or Emerald Pools. I've done Angel's Landing and Narrows in one day, as well as Hidden Canyon, Narrows, and Emerald Pools in one day before driving to Vegas. Both made for long days, but I loved it. If you do the Narrows (bottom up to Wall Street and part of Orderville Canyon, I highly recommend), then you can rent shoes and a stick if you wish from Zion Adventure Company. Also, be aware that you cannot drive into the main canyon and will have to take the shuttle. We clipped our rented shoes onto our backpacks and carried our sticks with us when we did the Hidden Canyon/Narrows/Emerald Pools day, and left the stuff in the car at the visitors center when we did Angel's Landing and the Narrows (you do NOT want any extra stuff to carry with you on Angel's Landing), and came back in between hikes to change. On your next morning, if you feel like it, you can do another one of the harder/longer trails (Narrows, Observation Point, Angel's Landing) before heading on to Vegas. Observation Point and Angel's Landing will offer fantastic views of the main canyon, whereas the Narrows is hiking in the river (at times) in a slot canyon. Very beautiful.

Make sure you have plenty of water with you everywhere as it will already be pretty hot in this area. And fill up with gas when you get to half a tank, there are long stretches of road here with nothing and no cell phone service.

Hiking Narrows from the top (Chamberlain Ranch)requires a permit (if overnight, which it should be). These are very limited.

Hiking the narrows from the bottom up, as Virginia recommended, does not require a permit.

I think you are doing way too much driving and too little time actually in any of these locations. Same day drive-by's of GC and Bryce don't sound fun, but you will be able to check them off your list. Better yet would be one night each in GC and Bryce, and do Antelope as a drive by enroute to Bryce.
