Vegas buffet for a group
Hello,
DH and I are planning to renew our vows with an Elvis Blue Hawaii ceremony in the near future and expect about 25 friends and family to join us. The ceremony will take place at 11am just like our wedding ceremony years ago. In keeping with the fun of the day (everyone is invited to dress in aloha wear) we want to take the entire group to a buffet after the ceremony. We would love some recommendations for a fun Vegas buffet that could handle a group. Do any allow reservations? Or have seating areas for groups? Should we plan to stay and buffet at the same hotel for the best arrangements? We are not too concerned about price especially since it will be at lunch.
We have not been to Vegas for a few years so will appreciate your suggestions.

You'll definitely need to make pre-arrangements for such a large group. They might be more willing to accomodate you if the group is staying at that hotel (they want you to stick around and gamble your money away).
Service at buffets is spotty, they generally just bring beverages and clear plates, but with a large group they'll assign a couple of people to you and charge a gratuity.
Paradise Buffet at Flamingo might go nicely with the lei theme, there is a waterfall just outside, the pool area is right there and there are flamingos, wildlife etc. I also saw a wedding gazebo just beside the pool area.

Some great suggestions--thank you. Our anniversary is on a weekday so it looks likes even the Bellagio could be in our price range. The Flamingo would certainly fit the tropical theme and they take reservations for groups. I wasn't sure buffets offered reservations.
Good idea about buffet where we stay. One of the family loves Vegas and is good at getting deals on hotels so we can ask about the buffet as well.
Please keep the suggestions coming!

Add my favorite to Qwovadis's list: the Golden Nugget. Seeing the Fremont St. Experience, the 62 lb. nugget and the slide through the shark tank are bonuses.

I was just in vegas and the Studio B Buffet at M Resort was very well done. I think $15.99 for lunch.
The food was good quality and had great taste. My favorite was the roast beef and for dessert, they have "Baby Cake Desserts:" macaroon, cheesecake, shots, lemon meringue, their ice cream, cookies... best dessert offerings I've had vegas.
It has a good variety, sushi, chinese bbq pork, stewed ox tail, mac & cheese (another of my fav), zitti, greek salad, boccocini and tomatos basil, pork ribs.
The brunch buffet was good too ... the crab legs were the best I've had in a buffet, and they had time cold, gingered stir fried and steamed to eat with butter. They have raw oysters and shrimp cocktain.

The buffet at the Wynn is amazing. Expensive, but they have alcoves so that you'll feel separated from other tables. I remember from a company trip to Vegas that several of the buffets took reservations for larger crowds. They did require a credit card deposit and set gratuity.

Congrats on your anniversary!
I can't speak to the buffet as we didn't dine there, but we stayed at the Wynn last month for three nights and loved it--soooo gorgeous! I did a trip report if you want to look for it under my screen name.

So, all this talk about how great the Wynn Buffet is...... I went after I came back from Bryce, Zion, Escalante (skip this ... nothing really there), Capitol Reef (Amazing ... if you enjoy NPs... you should go out there! and Blondies has the best grilled cheese sandwich ever!! The drive to Hainsville was amazing those jutted rocks/reefs!!!) and GC North Rim ........ what a disappointment with Wynn Buffet.
I am not sure what it is, but the Studio B Buffet is better. Even the crab legs was better tasting at Studio B! So after my disappointment with Wynn, went back to Studio B before vacation is over! So, the flavouring or the cooks are doing a better job with the food. And the desserts at Studio B is fantastic!!!
Oh yeah .. shhhh don't tell every one.

The Orleans has a good valued buffet. The Rio has a huge buffet and the Rio casino has a pulse that would be spot on for a celebration like yours. I would call ahead so they can seat all of you together where-ever you decide to go to. Enjoy your trip, ziggypop

The traditional advice re Vegas buffets is that the best are Paris Le Village (went to this one a few years ago, liked very much), the Buffet at Bellagio, and the Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood.
