Hello,
Well, I have just a few questions.
I have been to Vegas before, on my 21st actually, and I stayed at Paris. I had a wonderful, fabulous, amazing, time. I also am now hooked and I want to go again, although for a shorter stay than my original 5 days. I am content with not staying in a theme hotel, simply visiting them, and to save money for gambling I am considering the Tropicana or Boardwalk. Can anyone tell me about either of these two, suggestions, cautions, etc? I don't want to stay in a dump, I just don't want to spend a fortune. Also, I am usually a single traveler and since none of my friends love Vegas like I do I have no one to go with. Can anyone tell me about a travel buddy site where I can find a Vegas travel buddy? It would be more fun with someone. Thanks in advance.
Vegas Baby! I want to go! Read will ya : )

somebody just asked about traveling alone and wanting to find a buddy to go with. You should do a search.
We really like the Rio. It is all suites and it is off the stip 1/4 mile. They have a shuttle that goes to the strip. I highly recommend it for adults who want a nice hotel, but not a super expensive one. We will be there soon!
If you stayed at the Paris before you will probably consider the Trop a dump. Keep looking.
The trop is dumpy. Stay at the Rio if you can. My husband picked up a great hooker in the nightclub there, brought her back to the room and we had a wild time. You could stay at the excalibur- but lots of kids. rooms okay and cheap. we went out for Thanksgiving and some nights were $35 a night. going back for new years and the range is $35 to $199 for New years eve. other nights $59. Don't worry about being a single guy in Vegas -people are VERY friendly. when I need to crash hubby goes out clubbing or gambling alone and has a great time!
I don't think he mentioned hookers..aye aye aye.
I haven't heard great things about the Boardwalk. But it is nestled between Bellagio and MC so it's in a good location. But if you just want a bed and shower then it should suit you. Along the same lines as the Boardwalk is the Casino Royale. It's right next to the Venetian.
Depending on when you go, you might want to still check the larger hotels. I know Monte Carlo is really cheap this time of year.
Check out this site for some laughs and good hotel reviews(see "Strip Map"):

Can't help you with the travel buddy.
Good Luck!

Well, the Trop will be a serious step down from Paris. But of the two, I would pick it over Boardwalk in a heart beat.
For not much more you could get a room at the Flamingo. At least it has a better location and slighly better ammentities and rooms.
Well thanks everyone. I think that I am going to do the theme afterall. I must be comfortable. And I will consider the Monte and Rio for those who suggested so. Thanks. Oh, and no hookers for me but thanks anyway.
