Vacation lodging in Door County

Jump to last reply

I’m in need of some lodging advice. Starting in Madison this summer, we’re taking a 3 night vacation to Door County and I’m considering one of the following lodging places. In Egg Harbor: The Shallows, or The Landing Resort. In Fish Creek: The Landmark Resort, The Cedar Court Inn, or Peninsula Park View. Has anyone stayed in any of them? What others would you recommend? We’d like to keep the price around $300-350, to include all of us (there are five - two seniors, two adults, and one youth). We’re thinking a 2 or 3 bedroom place, which could be two motel rooms, a condo, or a cottage.

What we plan on doing in the 2 and ½ days is bicycling, light hiking, visit the light house, go to the small towns, maybe do some light shopping. We plan on adding an overnight at Wisconsin Dells (Mt. Olympus) to the beginning or end of the trip, so swimming is not a major consideration, though some swimming would be great. Any suggestions?
