Trip Report Utah National Parks Moab Mountain Biking

Jump to last reply

April 22 - 26 2013 was National Park Week providing free entrance to America's National Parks. Arches and Canyonlands National Parks was the destination, however, Southern Utah has the Mighty 5 (Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Arches and Canyonlands) which fit perfect into this bold week.
Besides sightseeing in the parks, Moab has fantastic single track mountain biking. Plenty of new single track trails in the KLonZo, Klondikes and Brands trail systems. That is why we saved Moab for last to add on a few none park days whaling on the bikes, and speaking of whaling, if you are really skilled try the new captain ahab trail out in the Amasa Back area.
Good food at the Moab Grill, Cabo Grill, Twistad Sistas - new spots this 2013 and live music to be found at night at Bucks' Grill, The Blu Pig, Frankie D's and Woody's.
(There are more free park days ahead: August 25, September 28 and November 9-11).
