URGENT Seattle Help Needed!!!!
I accidentally booked myself the wrong week for a trip to Seattle. It went unnoticed for 4 months!!!!
Now everything is sold out or out of my budget.
Here's the question:
Is there a neighboring city or suburb that would not be too bad for a meeting in downtown?
I am not sure if there is a subway or rail line in Seattle that would make a specific area better than another...?
For example, someone could stay in Plano, Texas and work in downtown Dallas because the DART rail system makes the commute pretty simple and cheap.
I am not interested in taking the bus.
I'll be headed to the Amgen office, which is somewhere near the Edgewater Hotel.

There is no train, so you will be taking a bus unless you stay within walking distance of Amgen. Some choices of this sort are Inn at Queen Anne, Mar Queen Hotel, Mediterranean Inn, and (for closest) Homewood Suites.

No subway or rail line. You will need to rent a car. Here is a tip for you: you can rent from Hertz at FAR below the airport price at a local office not far from the airport (and an inexpensive cab fare). Call them at 206-870-6886. There are lots of hotels in the airport area. If you end up there, do not take I-5 into Seattle to go to Amgen. Take highway 509, Marginal Way, highway 99 exiting at Western Ave. Yes, you will need a map. Your hotel will show you how to get to 509 to get started.

Bus or rental car are your only choices. Are you sure EVERYthing is sold out?
As suggested above, to most easily get to the waterfront staying somewhere on "lower Queen Anne" or in "Belltown" would be most convenient. Have you checked with the Ace Hotel?

You won't believe this but I found a very sympathetic sales person at the Westin hotel who agreed to honor the fantabulous rate I secured months ago.
She literally saved the day...

We have stayed there many times, all for large group functions when we lived in the area. When you check in, try for a room with a view.
