Upcoming trip

My teenage daughter and I are fine tuning our plans for an upcoming trip to NYC-any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are staying in Midtown East this time, and will only be in the city for three full days, plus the evening we arrive IF LGA arrival is timely (we "should" arrive at 5:25). We have theatre tickets Sat at 8pm, and ballet tickets Sun at 5pm. The only other "musts" are a quick stop by Strawberry Fields the evening/nite we arrive (it will be the anniversary of his death), The Met, Top of The Rock, and WTC site. We are traveling without "The Boys" so we are planning to walk 5th and see the store windows plus shop. So, how to plan the days, plus where to eat (The brunch at Eleven Madison has been moved to the top of our list, along with Max Brenner thanks to a post here), and where to find the finds on a 16yo's budget!!!
TIA!!

It usually helps you to get more responses if you put the name of your destination in the title.

I realized that on the "Preview" but then couldn't figure out how to edit. I am still looking for an edit feature for the subject area. Is there one? :0 I can only find an option for the body

No, sorry. There's no way to edit once you've posted. But you might want to cut and paste your original post and repost it with NYC in the title. I'm sure you'll get responses either way. But some people won't open a post with a vague title. And you never know, they may be the people with just the info you need!

Probably should have said "copy and paste".

Hi

My wife and I went to NYC for the first time a couple of years back and I have posted a trip report with pictures and links on my homepage http://gardkarlsen.com/new_york_city_trip_report.htm . Maybe you can find some useful info there

Regards

How to plan the days? Get a map. Either download some from notfortourists.com (they're by neighborhood) or buy a good one. emd recently raved about the foldable Vandam classic http://www.vandam.com/shopflash/unfolds_a.htm (also available at some Barnes and Nobles). Put your desired stops on the map so you can group them together.

Top of the Rock works with walking Fifth Ave.

You could do Strawberry Fields on the way to the ballet. The Met. stays open late on Fri. and Sat. nights. metmuseum.org

There are loads of threads here on shopping with teens. H & M (there's one in Rockefeller Center), Forever 21, Daffy's, Century 21, Pearl River Mart, Chinatown are all popular. Depending on when you're coming, the Xmas markets in Grand Central, Bryant Park, may be open. (around Thanksgiving)
