Tucson hotel for under 21 yr old
20 yr DD & friends are going to Tucson for spring break. They are planning to stay in the hostel there but wanted to stay somewhere nice for a night. Does anyone have any suggestion for a hotel that will let an under 21 yr old stay?

My son and friends found it impossible to rent a hotel room if all were not over 18 and difficult if under 21. Individual chain websites list age restrictions - but I would also advise calling ahead. How do they find out age? They ask for ID upon check-in.

Yes, but their concern is that the 3 will meet more, invite them back and they end up with a trashed room. I would try more upscale chains - since they may feel the higher rates reduce the chances of this kind of situation.
Or make sure that there is at least an extra $1000 on the credit card, above actual charges, for a security hold.

There's a few hotels, that never gave me a problem about my age. Motel 6 was one, Fairfield Inn was another, try the non name brand, local hotels. They seem to be more fair not needing huge deposits because of your age. I've been traveling alone across the US since I was 18. I've found better luck with smaller chains and local hotels in my travels.
You could use maps.google.com in the search field type "hotels 85714" or whatever zip code you may be staying in and start calling those first.
