Trip through the Rockies from yellowstone toBanff and back
In the middle of June my Wife and I are planning a trip from Salt Lake City via Grand Teton, Yellowstone and Whitefish to Banff.
We would like to see Oregon on the return and have allowed 6 days.
We will be camping and have rented a tent trailer.Camp grounds have been booked on outward trip to Banfff
One return route is Banff ,Revelstoke and Castlegar to Spokane and Boise
vising the east side of Hells canyon.
Alternatively Banff , Kelowna, then onto Moses Lake, Richland ,visiting John Day
area, back to Boise, SLC
We would appreciate sugestions on routes, places to visit and camp grounds
Thanks for your help

Stuart,
In addition to posting your question here, you might want to check out some of the RV specific forums. You can read threads without "joining" (just like here) but to post you have to be a member (which again, just like here,is free). We just got our first RV last September and the folks on these RV forums have been very helpful and friendly. There are categories for just about any kind of RVing/camping plus boondocking, routes, campgrounds of all kinds, and a lot more.
Here are the web addresses for 3 that I know about. I find the first 2 to be the most active but there good info to be found on all of them.

Have a great trip.

Assuming that you have 6 days to return from Banff - both routes will take you through Canada's Glacier National Park, which is spectacular. We've driven both ways - Kelowna and also Revelstoke to Castlegar. On the latter, there is a wonderful free ferry ride across the lake. But then comes payback, with a pretty tiring, windy drive following. You might take a look at the Kelowna route, then down through the Okanagan, if you have any interest in wines.

Thanks for your reply we have total of 16 days, we stay in Grand Teon/ Yellowstone for 4 nights and we have booked 4 nights in Banff NP .We have 6 days for the return to Salt Lake City.
I think we will return via Kelowna / Oliver ,the Wine and countryside sound good
Is it interesting to visit John Day or maybe Hells Canyon

I think Hells Canyon is very interesting - we stayed for a week in the Wallowa's/ Joseph area - went rafting on the Snake River - love that area
The area around Castlegar in BC is beautiful - have family that live there- great place for a visit.

These photos pretty much follow the itinerary you want from Yellowstone to Glacier. They might give you some ideas of what to see.

Consider stopping here for a little while. I really enjoyed it -

But also enjoyed the buffalo jump state park outside of Great Falls between Yellowstone and Glacier -
