Trip Report: Snohomish WA restaurant

The information below comes from a visit to Snohomish, Washington, in July 2007:

El Paraiso Mexican Grill, 1431 Avenue D, Snohomish, Washington 98290, www.elparaisogrill.com
-Visited this excellent Mexican restaurant in a strip mall in Snohomish. Quite impressive food with excellent ingredients, the staff greets you with a handmade corn tortilla assembled before your eyes as you enter. Friendly, efficient staff, fun atmosphere, and lots of well-prepared food. I really was looking forward to some Mexican food on a visit to Washington state and El Paraiso surpassed my expectations—a delicious visit. They appeared to have an extensive tequila list, but their selection of beers and wines was quite limited and uninspired. But their food more than made up for it.

I like the style of your reports, quick and informative plus they will be easy to find in the future. Thanks.

I too like your style. We used to live in Snohomish, but never heard of this place. Either we missed it, or it came in after we moved. Either way, it is nice to hear of another good place to go there. We return pretty often, so I will check it out next time we are up that way. Thanks!

Bewohner,
Thanks for passing this information along, but I'm curious--where are you from? After living in Mexico and L.A. I've seldom been impressed with a Mexican restaurant in this area, but would love to be wrong about this!

I live in Snohomish, and have gone to El Paraiso 2-3x, and have been very happy with the quality and variation in the menu. I am no expert on Mexican food, although I've been to Mexico several times, and have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants across the U.S. West (both north and south) - and El Paraiso compared favorably for me.
