Trip for anniversary in So Cal ?

I would really appreciate some suggestions for a place to stay anywhere between Santa Ynez down to San Diego. Looking for a smaller place, less than 20 rooms(more if they're spread out)from $200.00 - $450.00 per night. Inland or on the beach is fine. Next month is out 10th wedding anniversary and we really need a nice getaway.
Thanks for your help

We spent one anniversary at the Inn in Playa del Rey. (they have 21 rooms) Pick the suite on the top floor with fireplace, jacuzzi, sitting area, deck overlooking the marina and marshlands. Beautiful sunsets, good restaurants in walking distance.

Thank you MBnancy. This place does look nice. It's only 24 miles from home. I'm going to try to drive over there this week. I wish I knew about this earlier as this morning I was over at Santa Monica beach. When I travel, it's usually out of the state or out of the country, but I need to stay near home this time.

What about Fess Parker's Wine Country Inn & Spa in Los Olivos, near Santa Ynez? 21 rooms, with a good restaurant attached.

boom boom,
Have you stayed at Fess Parker's? I've been to the tasting room. I'm wondering if it feels a bit busy with the tasting room and store right there. Do you know if the rooms are near the tasting room and gift shop?
Thanks!
