Trip choice: Charlotte vs. St. Louis

I have a choice of these two cities to attend a conference in late October. Which would be preferable in terms of weather, tourist attractions, tours, etc.?

We definitely don't have the Arch. We do have great dining. We have NFL football. Gorgeous weather. Nice niche style museums.
As Sayler says, what do you want to happen.

The USA Olympics team practices there.
Lots of bars
Historical neighborhood
Speed week in uptown Charlotte middle of October.
Lots of concert venues

As a big fan of St Louis, I would go there. The cathedral, the arch, fantastic food, a pretty good museum, beautiful zoo, river boat, St Charles, clubs, music, etc. all in all, an interesting city.

HEY--I gave up, but I think you will have a great time. Post back before you go, and we'll give you some great ideas of stuff to do.
Charlotte is a great city--not always a destination, but a lot to do and happen.
C'mon back!!

Any idea what bands (old or new) - national acts, might be performing in Charlotte during 10/20-10/23?
