travelling between hawaii islands

I'm going to oahu in march and was just curious how much it would cost to travel to any of the other islands.I'm looking for budget deals.

You need to check with the airline that books your trans pac trip. They usually can discount your inter island tickets.
Otherwise get an inter-island ticket with Aloha or Hawaiian Airlines

Once on Oahu, you will find newspaper boxes on many street corners. Local papers have listings of local operators who handle inter-island flights, some even with rental cars. Look for these, and see what is being offered. We've use these companies and haven't had any problems. Those we've used have been reputable.

I am looking for a flight from Oahu to Kauai & return. Seems like the round trip fare on both Aloha & Hawaiian is around $175.

I would go to priceline to get a cheaper fare, but I don't want to travel and 6am or 10pm which is probably the times I could get for a lesser amount. ((9b))

Many years ago, there was a private airline operator called "Panoramic Air that covered 3 or 4 islands in one day with the same group of passengers that was very reasonable. I don't know if they are still in business but their plane carried about 10 people and they even had buses meet us at one of their stops to take us to luncheon at a local country club. The airline distributed menus during the flight and called in our choices to the country club where seating was reserved for us upon arrival. This was a highlight of our Hawaiian stay.
