I'm traveling from Austin, Tx to West Point, NY this May. I would like to have a sight-seeing adventure with my three elementary age children. Any suggestions?

How long do you have to do the trip - I'm assuming a road trip in both directions?
Definitely more info needed, e.g. number of days RT, interests, budget, etc.
Having made 3/4 of this road trip a number of times (D.C. to Austin), I would hope that you have several weeks for this trip. It takes us 3.5 days of almost non-stop driving just for the D.C. - Austin portion.
I have also made the D.C. to West Point trip, so hopefully I'll be able to make some suggestions once you give us more info.
Sorry, that should be 2.5 days of almost non-stop driving.
