Hi we are finally getting it narrowed down to a trip to Seattle in June to visit family and take in a baseball game, My question is we have a few days to travel there so we were thinking about heading to seaside for a day or two and then head up to seattle. Are there any other suggestions for our route? Like I said we have a few days to travel so any ideas are great thanks!!!!

The coast in June is often pretty gray and/or rainy. ("June gloom" is not just a California phenomenon.)
If it was me I'd shoot for the Columbia Gorge, since the heavy snow pack in the mountains this year will be melting like crazy then, making the waterfalls along the Oregon side quite spectacular.
You could also take in the Hood River Valley and Mount Hood while you're at it; the valley is very nice around then.
From Rock Springs WY to Seaside OR is 990 miles. The halfway point time wise is at Ontario, OR. Depending on the weather, either continue on I-84 all the way to Portland and get on US 26 to get to Seaside (or Cannon Beach).
If you ever wanted to see the real Eastern Oregon, take US 20 all the way from Ontario through Bend and over the Santiam Pass with Rt. 22 into Salem.
Just checked out Columbia Gorge and looks amazing- and it's on the way!!! Ok so how much time will I need to enjoy the falls etc?
The parking for Multnomah Falls is in the median of I-84 (left exit). Plan on at least an hour parked there while you walk up to the base of the falls and maybe up the steps and paved path to the top. This waterfall is Oregon's tallest.
Get an early start if you stay overnight in the Ontario area.
You should make it to Seaside by sunset. I like walking on the "Prom" in Seaside. Not far off the Prom is the spot where members of the "Corps of Discovery" boiled seawater to make salt to preserve meat for the trip back east.
If you head south to Cannon Beach you can get a good look at Haystack Rock which is one of the most photographed spots on the Oregon coast.
